Announcements in Viva Connections
[MC663637 · Published Aug 1, 2023]: Announcements allows you to create and share time-sensitive messages in Viva Connections. You can set up, manage, and schedule announcements from your organization’s SharePoint home site or the Viva Connections app in Teams desktop.

When this will happen:
Targeted Release: Microsoft will begin rolling out in late August and expect to complete by mid-September 2023.
Standard Release: Microsoft will begin rolling out in late September and expect to complete by end of October 2023.
How this will affect your organization:
- Your communication team can share important information with employees by authoring announcements on your organization’s SharePoint home site or Connections app in Teams desktop.
- Users will be notified of new announcements through the Viva Connections app. They will be able to view these announcements through Viva Connections app on desktop, mobile and tablet.
What you need to do to prepare:
No action is required to use announcements in Viva Connections. It’s recommended that you share more information about regarding authoring announcements with your communications team so they can effectively use this feature.
Clipchamp Video Editor Launching to Microsoft 365 Commercial Accounts
[MC664866 · Published Aug 3, 2023] Microsoft Clipchamp is launching for Microsoft 365 commercial accounts. You are receiving this message because your Microsoft 365 license enables access to Microsoft Clipchamp capabilities. This update will not impact any other parts of your Microsoft 365 license or Microsoft 365 admin center.
Clipchamp runs in the Edge or Chrome browser and is accessible via OneDrive or SharePoint on the web by creating a new Clipchamp video or editing an existing video.

When this will happen:
Microsoft will begin rolling out in late August 2023, and expect to be complete by mid-October 2023.
How this will affect your organization:
Users with these licenses will have access to Clipchamp for work: Microsoft 365 – E3, E5, Business Standard and Business Premium.
Clipchamp for work will be available from the following locations:
- “New” and “Edit” menu in OneDrive for Business and SharePoint document libraries
- Office.com app launcher – Clipchamp app

Clipchamp enables capabilities such as trimming or joining video recordings saved on OneDrive or SharePoint, adding text overlays, recording screen or webcam and more. All videos are stored securely on OneDrive or SharePoint for sharing. Watch the product overview or review the FAQs for more information.
For users with corresponding licenses, “Microsoft Clipchamp” has been automatically added to the list of services available to your organization. In addition, the service plan is enabled by default.
What you need to do to prepare:
When this change takes effect, please make note of the new service plan names for your administrative records and ensure that you update any relevant provisioning documentation, as needed.
Also, be aware that a Clipchamp application for Windows is included in new builds and updates of Windows 10 and 11. This Windows application currently is only available to personal Microsoft accounts. You may wish to disable this Windows application in Group Policy Editor until support is also added for work accounts.
SharePoint: Page Sharing Feature
[MC665222 · Published Aug 4, 2023]: With this feature, users can share SharePoint pages and news posts individually without having to share the entire site, just like other Microsoft 365 files. All sharing settings at the site and tenant level will be respected.

Targeted Release: Microsoft will begin rolling out in mid-August 2023 and expect to complete rollout by late August 2023.
Standard Release: Microsoft will begin rolling out in late August 2023 and expect to complete rollout by late September 2023.
How this will affect your organization:
People in your organization can use the familiar Microsoft 365 sharing experience to share individual pages from a SharePoint site. This will replace the current “Send to” experience at the top of the page with a “Share” experience. Page sharing will be governed by the existing site and organization level file sharing settings. The page editor/site owner can share just the page without having to share the entire site with specific users or an entire organization. This page sharing feature is available only for modern SharePoint site home page, news posts and pages.

Some users may see this feature before other within your organization, but once rollout is complete, all users will have a uniform experience.

Viva Pulse Admin Experience
[MC665224 · Published Aug 4, 2023] Viva Pulse is a new employee feedback experience that is available for use with your Viva Suite subscription. Viva Pulse empowers managers and project team leaders to request and receive feedback from their teams at any time. Managers and project leads can choose from research-based templates to quickly create a survey and send it to select individuals or groups. They can also track feedback to understand team sentiment over time and show teams they’re being heard by working together to take clear steps to address needs.
Microsoft has begun rolling out a new admin experience for Viva Pulse. This update is designed to create more consistency and clarity navigating the admin experience across the Viva suite.
When this will happen:
Rollout has begun and is expected to be complete by late August 2023.
How this will affect your organization:
Only the admin experience is being updated for Viva Pulse, and no changes will be made to your existing configurations. There is no impact to the end user experience. The update is designed to provide a more connected experience and intuitive flow in configuring and managing Viva Pulse in the Microsoft 365 admin center. To access the experience, navigate to the Setup tab in the left nav of the Microsoft 365 admin center, then click on Viva Collection -> Viva Pulse.

What you need to do to prepare:
No action is required. When updated, you can access the Viva Pulse admin experience in the Microsoft 365 admin center via the Setup tab -> Viva Collection -> Viva Pulse, or simply search for Viva Pulse in the search bar at the top of the admin center home page.
See your Recent Microsoft Planner plans and Microsoft To Do Lists on Microsoft 365 Homepage
[MC664477 · Published Aug 3, 2023] Currently, you cannot see your recently accessed Planner plans or Microsoft To Do lists in your Microsoft 365 homepage. With this update, you will be able to see and access all your recent plans and lists alongside your Microsoft Project for the web projects, Word documents, PowerPoint decks, and more on office.com.

When this will happen:
- This update will begin rolling out in September 2023
- The rollout to all customers is expected to be completed by early November 2023
How this will affect your organization:
With this update, your organization’s plans and lists will be visible from the office.com home page as opposed to solely from Planner and Microsoft To Do apps. This means you will be able to open your plans and lists directly from the Microsoft 365 homepage, just as you are able to open your Project projects, Word documents, Excel sheets, and all other Microsoft Office files.
What you need to do to prepare: There is no action required to prepare for this change. Plans and lists for users in your tenant will begin to appear on the Microsoft 365 homepage as soon as the rollout reaches your tenant.
